There are many mortgage loan programs that allow
a home purchase mortgage after bankruptcy or refinance mortgage
after a bankruptcy. There is a huge misconception that you can't
refinance your mortgage for many years after a bankruptcy. This
is not true. While some lenders require 3 years, we have lenders
that allow 2 years or 1 year. LTVs will vary from 70% to 90% and
credit scores requirements will vary from lender to lender. You
should keep open at least one or two tradelines after bankruptcy.
You should also try to re-establish your credit after bankruptcy.
